Tarsier Kingdom

Back from Bohol, the land of little hills and little monkeys, of multitudes of starfish, hermit crabs and watermelon milkshakes. ;)

It was a fun trip, a nice way to celebrate Christmas.

Day One.

Starfish discovery. We combed the shores of Panglao island for starfish and hermit crabs. Incidentally, Pat decided she was deathly afraid of starfish. And fingers, bugs, and lotion too, but don't ask. Abigail made it a point to harass Pat with said objects, which led to one of their usual bouts of getting back at each other. We, at dad's suggestion, made a starfish parol.

Anyway.

Abby and I created the Sandman, in place of a snowman, and left it there. The next morning, it was gone. Today was Christmas eve, and that night, after watching Disney Channel, my phone woke me up several times with several text messages, and one call. Yay! Christmas.

Day Two.

Christmas day. More resort frolicking, and the discovery of hermit crabs. Patricia decided that she was afraid of hermit crabs as well. Surprise! Abigail and Pat name a foreign family "Rugby family", because that was what the father's shirt said. They observed the Rugby baby and the Rugby child, until the mother shot them a withering glance.

Dad and I went to the mall. Not much there.

Day Three.

After breakfast, mom wasn't feeling so well, so the rest of us took off to eat lunch on the Loboc river cruise, and see the tarsiers. The cruise had musicians, dancing customers and a halfhearted magic act. (And river urchins clinging onto the rails)

The tarsiers were, like last time, sleepy and harassed by the eager tourists. Huge eyes and soft, soft fur. They don't like cameras much.

Upon returning to the resort, my mom's friend Tita Mamel brought us to another resort, called Amarela, which is Portugese for yellow. It was really pretty there, with the feel of an old, huge house filled with a lot of old and unusual conversational pieces. And they had a library, where me and Ab spent the next three hours. :D

Day Four.

Snorkeling at the Marine Sanctuary, and after that, kayaking. A splash in the pool, and then dad had to leave for Manila. Work and all. So then the rest of us took to the game room; pat and abby and mom played chess, and I read Les Miserables. x.x (and played pingpong with abigail. ^^)

That night, we watched Raising Helen.

Day Five.

Departure for Manila. YAy~ we came home at 9, and collapsed into bed. The end. ^_^

Pasko na Naman

Pasko na naman. Yes, I had to sing that. ^_^

The Christmas season is in full swing, with relatives home from the States, parties left and right, and mother caught in the whirlwind that is her high school reunion. The weather hasn't turned cold yet, sadly. Today I took an hour long nap, and woke up with a dry throat, dry skin, and dry air coming from the dry electric fan. I ran to the water dispenser and downed a couple of glasses, then ran back to bed and proceeded to stare at the ceiling.

Yay! Christmas! Yearbook writeups are finally finished, so all I have left to do are the illustrations of charm and electron. >_> Jovi gets to do Muon, lucky person.

Soo. The break started off with ACTS camp. FUN! Just the thing I needed! Badly. ^_^ I came home refreshed and very very blessed! Yay!

After that came a slew of christmas parties. I missed the last Muon thing. It sounded like a lot of fun, swimming and all. *sniff* And now my dear, dear cousins are here in the Philippines. And vacation is something we don't want to let go of, but can't wait to finish, and dread seeing the end of. College! dundun!

It was our church's christmas party today. I saw Kuya Pao and his camera, and he mentioned the UP tuition fee increase, and asked how I was. And then I realized just how much I missed the Missions Exposure two summers ago. o_o Kuya Mark and the fellowship people were there as well, with Chel and (ate) Yanyan having to leave for their..places. Monci's in the states, by the way. I didn't know. 0_0

Anyway, senior year is being used up! Already! *cry* With one quarter to go, we're being pushed off to the big world of college and stuff. YAY. 0_0 That's all for now. Le chatters have made it hard for me to concentrate. HAhaha. ^_^ I miss dia.
