Day Three
Okay. I haven't posted the pics yet. :P Later....muchmuch later..
Today was the first eventful day, but I still slept in. It was less cold (black turtlenecks forever!) and for some inexplicable reason, my nose began to peel. (too much blowing, probably) We went to the J. Paul Getty museum today. The galleries were HUGE, the gardens were modernistic and lovely, and there was CACTI EVERYWHERE!!!!! ^_^ Small cacti, large cacti, cacti overlooking Los Angeles, rose-shaped cacti, and yes, even cacti that didn't look like cacti. Lovely were the trees that hung down yellowly like willows do, and so was the clear blueblueblue sky. The museum itself is work of art. Positioned on top of a hill, it is a spectacle of modern architecture. And for some reason, even when we were huddling for warmth in the cold warm windy sunshine, I felt like I was at the beach.
Ohyes. We were able to view "the" paintings in the history of modern art. I'm talking Monet, Renoir, Rembrandt and VAN GOGH. Hail the earlobeless master. His painting "Irises" hung in one of the galleries of the museum and is the main attraction. There were no security barricades, no bodyguards, nothing! ^_^ Just the painting hanging on the wall. Wonderful, isn't it? :)
Father is currently downstairs with a gaggle of former highschool classmates. They're noisy and fun and catching up on a LOT of things. All are married and most have kids. This leads me to wonder if some 07 people will someday meet like this, in the living room of a nice house in LA. :) Possibly, Probably. I got to chat with people today. Tim is playing kol and Cy asks for rocks from Niagra falls. ^_^ THat's all for now. We leave for SF0 on Saturday. It's my cousin Tiffany's eleventh birthday tomorrow, and according to her, we are going ice skating.
Side note: A BAG of tea costs $ 2.17. 0_0
